Canada remains an innovation laggard, Conference Board says

Canada gets slightly higher marks in the latest report card on global innovation, but it remains a laggard in certain key measures and is no candidate for any gold stars.The Conference Board of Canada gives Canada a mediocre C grade, ranking it only ninth among 16 peer industrial countries, well behind the likes of class leaders Sweden, Denmark and Finland, each of which took home top marks. In July Nuffic Neso Mexico updated its report on the rankings of Mexican higher education rankings to help you identify the top universities. With almost 3,000 higher education institutions in Mexico, it is important to know which ones are the most renowned institutions.
Four different Mexican media channels publish annual university rankings, either general rankings or ranking per study field. These national rankings give a good overview of what are considered the top institutions in Mexico. While UNAM and Tec de Monterrey continue to dominate the general rankings, in specific study fields, other institutions perform quite well. More...

A new, more inclusive vision of education and training up to 2020

European Commission homepageA joint report by the Commission and Member States published today calls for strengthening cooperation in education and training up to 2020 and especially to promote social inclusion in schools around Europe.
The Commission is today proposing to strengthen cooperation at European level in the field of education and training up to 2020. Its draft of a joint report by the Commission and Member States published today calls for making European education and training systems more socially inclusive, as part of the wider efforts to tackle radicalisation following the 2015 attacks in Paris and Copenhagen.
