Universities unite to lure elite Indian students

HomeBy Tim Dodd. Australia's top universities have teamed up with elite Indian private schools in "a concerted push" to attract students whose first preference would be Oxbridge or the US Ivy League. Australia's eight leading research universities, witnessed by federal Education Minister Christopher Pyne, will on Monday sign an agreement with six elite schools in Delhi to offer educational opportunities for students in the schools and training for their teachers, as a first step to luring them to Australia for their degree. Australian unis left vulnerable by reliance on overseas student fees: study

Marseille: Bientôt un campus « international »... à l'américaine

20minutes.frPar M.P. L’Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD) veut attirer des étudiants et des chercheurs du monde entier.
En collaboration avec l’université d’Aix-Marseille, l’Institut souhaite ouvrir d’ici un an un « campus international pour la coopération et le développement ». Soutenu par l’Etat, ce projet vise à participer à la « diplomatie scientifique » de la France, selon Jean-Paul Moatti qui aimerait reproduire le modèle des campus américains, comme celui de Boston qu’il connaît bien. Concrètement, ce campus accueillera et formera des dizaines d’étudiants et de chercheurs étrangers, surtout francophones. Suite...
