
The change in DG EAC is the result of a broader reshuffling in the Commission in late June 2015 aimed at optimising the work of DGs and having
“the right people in the right place, at the right time”, according to President Juncker. Another major goal of the Juncker Commission is to
increase the share of women in senior management. To these ends, 11 Directors-General will change DGs, 8 Deputy Directors-General will become Directors-General and a number of Directors-General and Deputy Directors-General posts will be published and created.
