Annual Seminar of the ECML (Sèvres, France, 12-13 February 2015)

This seminar is aimed at inspectors, members of the Academic Delegation for European Relations and international cooperation (DAREIC), teachers of Teacher Training Colleges (ESPE, Écoles Supérieures de Professorat et d’Éducation), language and literature teachers, researchers, French experts already involved in the work of the ECML, as well as anyone interested in the ECML.

Sarah Breslin, Executive Director of the ECML, will present the ECML Call for submissions for the ECML Programme 2016-2019 “Languages at the heart of learning”. The following ECML projects will be presented:

"European portfolio for student teachers of pre-primary education" (Pré-élémentaire) (Francis Goullier),
"Collaborative community approach to migrant education" (Community) (Andrea Young),
- "Involving parents in plurilingual and intercultural education" (Parents) (Gaid Evenou).

Sessions will also include inputs from two National Contact Points for the ECML in Austria (Austrian Centre for Language Competence) and in Canada (Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute, OLBI) and will be devoted to the cooperation between the ECML and the European Commission, as well as to reflexions on the future of language education.

The event is organised by the General Delegation for the French language and the languages of France (Ministry of Culture and Communication), the Delegation to the European and international relations and cooperation (Ministries of Education and Higher Education and research) and the International Centre for Studies in Education (CIEP – the national contact point for the ECML in France), in partnership with the Directorate for cultural, university and research cooperation (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development).
