New research projects on Open Educational Resources in Germany

However, many issues concerning quality, legal frameworks and infrastructures remain unclear. In this context, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research provides funding for research projects on OER in Germany. An expert group coordinated by Deutscher Bildungsserver will analyse the needs for digital infrastructures (e.g. E-platforms) for OER. Wikimedia Deutschland’s project Mapping OER aims at identifying recommendations for questions like quality management, the training of practitioners or business models. More...

Eurostat: 14% Europeans aged 25-29 in education

Youth unemployment rate slows

The numbers of young people aged 15-29 out of work stood at 20.6% in 2010, while by 2013 the figure was 22.7%. More...

Lifelong learning ‘watchdog’ to monitor EU policy

Résultat de recherche d'images pour "europa.eu/epale"A new Lifelong Learning Interest Group has been initiated by EAEA (European Association for the Education of Adults), EUCIS-LLL (European Civil Society Platform on Lifelong Learning) and six members of the European Parliament.
The group is hosted by MEP Sirpa Pietikäinen (EPP, Finland) and aims to discuss issues and concerns around lifelong learning issues. It will  monitor the European Commission and lobby for attention on important issues. More...
