European Parliament’s interpreters and translators visit Latvia ahead of the Presidency

The visit from the Directorate-General for Translation (DG TRAD) aims to give an advanced insight into Latvia – its ongoing political processes and diversity of culture. The Programme of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and its priorities is presented to the translators and interpreters during their visit. They also visit important cultural and historical objects of Latvia. Latvian is not the native language of those translators who are coming to Latvia, but they have learned Latvian and translate EP documents from Latvian daily.
