By Emma Graney. If there are no French-focused post-secondary options, young members of the Fransaskois community simply won’t stay in Saskatchewan. And that, says Frédéric Dupré, director of community engagement at the Institute francais in Regina, is a huge problem.
Around 45 people came together for a University-Community Circle on Thursday to talk about that and other issues impacting the Fransaskois community.
The event was the fourth in a series of discussions, billed as forum for “frank discussions on the issue of Fransaskois community development.”
It’s about identifying problems, but also finding solutions, with each discussion informing a series of action items.
