Taxonomy of mobile apps for learning

  • 4) contents can (a) only be consumed – (b) contents are georeferenced –  (c) user can communicate and produce own content
  •  
  • 5) contents are structured around (a) a topic - (b) an institution - (c) a space
  •  
  • 6) the use of the app is (a) static – (b) interactive – (c) collaborative
  •  
  • 7) while learning with the app, (a) everything is explained  – (b) the user has to find answers and solutions himself – (c) the user has to create his own questions and the app is offering an environment for enquiry-based learning.
