Les Chroniques Horizon du 24 au 28 mars auront pour thème "Financer sa formation".
En dehors du plan de formation de son entreprise, si l’on ne peut financer seul sa formation, il faut trouver des sources de financement susceptibles de contribuer aux frais divers (dossier et inscription, transport, restauration, hébergement, matériel pédagogique), ainsi qu’éventuellement de prendre en charge le versement de la rémunération pendant la durée de la formation. Il existe plusieurs possibilités, qui dépendent surtout de la situation du demandeur (salarié, demandeur d’emploi, fonctionnaire, intérimaire, etc.). Que ce soit par l’intermédiaire du Congés individuel de Formation, des aides de Pôle emploi ou de celles de la Région, il est possible pour chacun de faire valoir son droit à la formation tout au long de la vie.
Lundi : le financement, condition essentielle.
Mardi : la formation des salariés.
Mercredi : la formation des demandeurs d’emploi.
Jeudi : intérimaires et fonctionnaires.
Vendredi : les aides régionales à la formation.

Institutions asked for feedback on REF
Institutions participating in the REF have been invited to provide feedback. The deadline for responses is 2 May 2014.

1. This letter sets out the allocations to higher education institutions (HEIs) for Learning and Teaching Capital Investment Funding (TCIF2) for the financial year 2014-15.2. In February 2014 the Board agreed that £121.26 million would be distributed through TCIF2 to HEIs in financial year 2014-15. These allocations, listed at Annex A, will be automatically paid in three instalments: in August 2014, November 2014 and February 2015.
3. As has been the case in previous years, for those institutions that have met the requirements of the second capital investment framework (CIF2) we will bring some of these funds forward into March 2014. A further announcement will be made in due course.
4. These funds are available to support learning and teaching.

HE stakeholder organisations present proposal for revised “Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher
The E4 Group (European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), European Students’ Union (ESU), European University Association (EUA), European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE)), in cooperation with Education International (EI), BUSINESSEUROPE and European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (EQAR) have today (18 March) published a joint proposal for a revised version of the “Standards and Guidelines for quality assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG)”.
Crimée, Sarre, deux territoires, deux visions des coopérations transfrontalières
Le début d’année 2014, un siècle après le déclenchement de la première guerre mondiale restera peut-être comme un moment clé de la géopolitique. Deux territoires le symboliseront : l’un, la Crimée, pour rappeler combien le passé peut être reconstruit ; l’autre, la Sarre, combien il peut être utilement remisé en faveur de l’avenir.
Enjeux transfrontaliers connus depuis le 19ème siècle, ils auront l’un et l’autre été marqués par des référendums où la souveraineté populaire a souvent fait le lit de la dictature traditionnelle…Symboles d’une Europe de la diversité, ils représentent aussi aujourd’hui le dilemme de notre continent : soit retomber dans des rivalités d’Etats-nations à prétention impériale soit envisager des modes de coopération annihilant peu à peu les fêlures nées des frontières.
A l’heure où plus que jamais les espaces transfrontaliers doivent permettre de mettre en place très concrètement l’idéal d’une vie commune et, donc, profiter prioritairement des programmes communautaires, nous qui avons la charge du plus populaire d’entre eux, Erasmus+, nous ne pouvons que nous interroger sur ces deux destins. Conférence annuelle de l’ACA
300 universitaires européens seront réunis à l'Université de Bordeaux les 16 et 17 juin prochains pour la conférence annuelle de l'ACA qui se déroule pour la première fois en France.
L'ACA, Association pour la Coopération Académique, réunit tous les grands organismes européens et internationaux spécialisés dans les questions d'internationalisation de l'enseignement supérieur. L'agence 2e2f est membre de l'ACA depuis 2011 et Antoine Godbert en assure la vice-présidence depuis fin 2013.
La conférence 2014 sera centrée sur la question de la place de l'enseignement supérieur européen dans le monde : « Europe in the world. Higher education developments across the globe ». Les deux jours de débats permettront de faire un tour d'horizon des grands défis de l'enseignement supérieur sur tous les continents.

La reconversion professionnelle tente les salariés
L'institut Opinion Way a réalisé avec l'Afpa une étude sur la reconversion professionnelle et les enjeux de formation auprès de 5000 actifs et de 500 chefs d’entreprise et DRH.
Face à la crise, 88 % des salariés se disent prêts à suivre une formation pour un métier qui recrute. Les secteurs "innovants", comme l'économie verte et le numérique ont leur préférence, au détriment des métiers dit "physiques" comme le BTP.

Alberta agrees to jobs grant

NSCC reports spike in new students with university degrees

There's been a spike in the number of students with university degrees enrolling at the Nova Scotia Community College, according to an internal survey of the college's first year students.
