6th International Conference of the Popular Education Network

GUNi LogoThis conference seeks to build on the success of previous PEN conferences held in Edinburgh (2000), Barcelona (2002), Braga (2004), Maynooth (2007) and Seville (2011). It will be hosted by the University of Malta in Veletta Campus.
The conference is an opportunity for university-based teachers and researchers, student-activists and others involved in higher education, who share a common interest in popular education – many of whom work in considerable isolation in their own institutions – to meet, exchange ideas, learn from each other and enjoy some much needed solidarity and conviviality. See the Table of Contents and Authors of the new GUNi Report

GUNi LogoThe report is a collective work in which 73 authors from all the world regions have contributed. A special mention have to be done to all them and the guest editors, as without they involvement and work in the project, for almost two years, this Report wouldn’t exist. The result is the more comprehensive document regarding the issue of Community-University Engagement at global level. GUNi want to thank to all them having join the project.
The report is structured into six sections: The context, analyses the current state of the world, and the need to link Knowledge, engagement and higher education to better respond to the challengers of our world and the pressing global issues. See more...

See the launch events of the GUNi Report worldwide

GUNi LogoThe 5th Higher Education in the World Report: Knowledge, Engagement and Higher Education: Contributing to Social Change is attaining high interest among the higher education community worldwide. Several programmed events and conferences will serve as a framework for presenting this new material.
Guest editors: Budd Hall and Rajesh Tandon, main contributors and authors of the Report are leading these presentations in their countries. We are pleased to share here the provisional agenda that might have changes. Further information of these events will be published in our website or in the organizer’s one. Focusing on models of change, the event will link theory and practice by presenting a selection of models that teams taking part in HEA change programmes have found most useful. Participants will have the opportunity to explore, adapt and apply these models to their own institutional context and goals.

2014 Shanghai International Conference on Ubiquitous Learning

OER Asia Symposium: Beyond Advocacy, Research and Policy

International Council for Open and Distance EducationOER Asia is an Asian Forum to share information, views and opinion, research studies and knowledge resources in addition to guidelines and toolkits on good practices on and about Open Education Resources in the Asian Region. Based at ICDE member institution, Wawasan Open University, Malaysia, OER Asia is planning its 2nd Regional Symposium on Open Educational Resources.
