In 2013, we published over twenty entries that featured in-depth on a particular issue, and this is excluding all the seminar recordings we will summarise tomorrow.
MOOCs and ICT
One development that gained a lot of attention in 2013 likely in all higher education outlets was the issue of MOOCs. A quick Google search indicates nearly two million items on the topic, and the attention already started in 2012 with great attention to the topic. 2013 was perhaps a year for sobering and even the creator of Udacity, Sebastian Thrun, admitted that their educational product was not of sufficient quality.
