MOOC Providers Focus on Localization Around the World

SPREADING THE GOOD WORD: TechCrunch calls our attention to Eliademy, a MOOC platform from Finland-based CBTec targeted at "emerging markets and the 'Rest of the World.'" So far it's available in 13 languages, with the company aiming for 40 by the end of 2013. (It recently added support for Latin, which should make folks at the Vatican quite jazzed.) It's worth noting that Coursera has its sights on the world as well, having announced in May partnerships with ten companies to translate course lectures into other languages.
