It's not rare nowadays for young Chinese to study abroad. Statistics from China's Ministry of Education indicate that last year alone, 400-thousand students went abroad for a foreign degree, and in the same year, 270-thousand, or nearly 70 percent of the overseas students, returned home after completing their studies. Many of the students believed that studying abroad broadened their horizons and therefore would enhance their competitiveness in the ever fiercer job market back home.
