The Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan signed a memorandum of understanding with the Japan University Accreditation Association and Thailand’s Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment in Taipei City April 8.
“Under the pact, Taiwan, Japan and Thailand will be able to establish closer cooperative ties regarding higher education assessment through visits and exchanges among evaluation personnel,” an official with the ROC Ministry of Education said.
“We expect to learn from the experiences of these countries, expand the visibility of Taiwan’s higher education evaluation institutions and enhance international understanding of our quality assurance system.”
Established in 2005, Taiwan’s accreditation council is responsible for developing mechanisms for university evaluation and conducting assessments. Separately, the council noted that the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education’s 2013 Biennial Conference is running April 8-11 in Taipei City. Read more...
