to U-Multirank - the multidimensional ranking of higher education institutions
Recruitment of institutions has started
The first U-Multirank edition in 2014 will cover a minimum of 500 higher education institutions from around the world. The recruitment of institutions has started now. Higher education institutions interested in participating can register their interest now. In the coming weeks various international higher education associations from all over the world will begin to participate in the recruitment process. Additional information about the project, participation and the benefits of participating can be found in the “Key questions and answers”. Higher education institutions interested in participating are kindly invited to submit the contact form. Register your university’s interest.
The Project
U-Multirank is a new multidimensional, user-driven approach to international ranking of higher education institutions. The dimensions it includes are teaching and learning, research, knowledge transfer, international orientation and regional engagement. Based on empirical data U-Multirank will compare institutions with similar institutional profiles and allow users to develop personalised rankings by selecting indicators in terms of their own preferences.Based on the results of a feasibility study the European Commission is currently funding a project to implement U-Multirank.
A first ranking will be published in early 2014 covering at least 500 higher education institutions from Europe and beyond. It will provide an institutional ranking of whole institutions as well as field-based rankings for engineering, business and physics. After 2014 the coverage of institutions and fields will be extended progressively.
This project is funded by the European Commission. This publication content reflects the views only of the authors. The European Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein.
