Hürriyet Daily NewsThe number of foreign students receiving education in Turkey doubled over the last decade, according to Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) data.
The total number of foreign students studying in universities in Turkey was 15,505 in the 2001-2002 academic term. This number increased to 31,170 in the 2011-2012 academic year.
In the 2001-2002 academic year, 2,707 foreign students were registered in universities, while new registrations tripled to 8,410 in the 2011-2012 academic year. Read more...
