HomeBy Stanley Cheung and Maia Huang. Two prestigious Hong Kong universities will hold admissions consultation meetings in Taiwan on Saturday to recruit local students to study in Hong Kong, a university official said Thursday.
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) will each offer scholarships of over NT$600,000 (US$20,200) per year to outstanding and disadvantaged students to pursue education in Hong Kong.
Grace Chow, CUHK director of admissions and financial aid, told CNA that the school recruited 32 students last year after holding its first admissions meeting in Taiwan.
The Taiwanese students who entered the university last year have been excelling, Chow said, adding that the enrolment quota this year will be flexible and will depend on students' performance record. Read more...
