China Increases Oversight on Education Agencies
The Chinese Education Ministry published a draft of new regulations in late October that will prevent foreign education agencies from entering the saturated market of education consultancies that help Chinese students get into universities abroad. If passed, Chinese provincial authorities will have the power to restrict the business practices of these foreign education agencies. The Education Ministry cited the proliferation of inappropriate business practices of foreign education agencies as one of the dominant reasons for the new regulations. More...
