Ahead of the next summit of the EU Heads of State and Government from 22 to 23 November 2012, the Initiative for Science in Europe (ISE) for its part is coordinating an online petition to secure the long-term EU budget for research and innovation.The petition aims to achieve "the mobilisation of research communities, including younger scientists, the members of learned societies and of concerned citizens" and is designed to complement an open letter from 44 European Nobel Laureates and six Fields Medallists issued on 23 October 2012.
EUA members are encouraged to promptly disseminate information about the petition within their institutions. The petition website can be accessed here.
