Foreign universities invited to set up campuses at HPTP

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7 (Bernama) -- Foreign universities that are keen to set up their respective campuses in this country are invited to do so at the Pagoh Higher Education Hub (HPTP), said Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
He said this was in line with efforts to turn Malaysia into a higher education hub of international standard.
"When this gets going, other organisations including foreign universities that are interested to develop such institutions in Malaysia, we hope they will also go to Pagoh. I hope it will not only accommodate IPTAs (public institutions of higher learning), we hope local IPTS (private institutions of higher learning) too can be set up there as well as the foreign universities," he said.
