Excellence 2012 Conference

The Excellence 2012 Conference on the theme “Excellence Revisited – The Value of Excellence” will take place in Aarhus, Denmark, from 18 to 20 April 2012, and is jointly hosted by the Danish Ministry of Science, Innovation and Higher Education, the Danish National Research Foundation, the Lundbeck Foundation, Universities Denmark and Aarhus University.
The conference, one of the major events of the Danish EU Presidency 2012, aims to highlight current European positions on research, higher education and innovation policies. It will:
- look at what excellence is, why it is important, and how it is created, supported and applied in innovation and research
- discuss ways for Europe to stimulate excellence and
- exchange ideas on how Europe can perform excellent research and transform it into innovative solutions.
The ambition of the conference is to highlight current European positions on research, higher education and innovation policies, since European policymakers and stakeholders within these areas are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of excellence.
