Widening Access to Higher Education in ‘Divided Communities’

http://www.ulster.ac.uk/aep/face2012/images/banner_image_1.jpgFACE 2012 Annual Conference. Widening Access to Higher Education in ‘Divided Communities’.
I am pleased to announce that the Forum for Access and Continuing Education (FACE) Annual Conference will be hosted by the University of Ulster, Magee campus, in Derry, Londonderry from the 4th-6th July 2012.
The conference title is Widening Access to Higher Education in 'Divided Communities' with four key themes:
Divided Communities’ – SEC, Ethnicity, Gender, Disability
    International and National Comparisons
    Regional Approaches to Widening Access
    Social Mobility – Demonstrating Impact

Details of the Conference and information on submitting an abstract/paper, accommodation, method of payment, social activities and the host city (which is the first UK City of Culture in 2013) are available on our website.
I would recommend that you book your place at the conference as soon as possible as delegate places will be strictly limited to 200.
In relation to accommodation it should be noted that the Conference clashes with the Clipper Round the World Race which is in Derry, Londonderry during 1st-7th July, 2012 so finding a place to stay may prove difficult. Details are available on the Accomodation page of the Conference website. Other activities included as part of the conference fee are a Mayor’s reception, Gala Dinner with entertainment and optional tours.
The conference team look forward to hosting your visit to the FACE conference in the historic and vibrant city of Derry, Londonderry where you will be guaranteed céad míle fáilte (a hundred thousand welcomes). Dr Damian O’Kane
Chair, Conference Team.
