MODERN Conference: Developing a strategic agenda for university knowledge exchange - Universities building dynamic interactions with their external environments, Milan, Italy (13 May 2011)
The fourth MODERN Conference will be organised by the MODERN project partners, the MIP (Politecnico di Milano), the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) and bring together key stakeholders active in the field of knowledge exchange.
The conference will be based on an executive report on the state of the art of regional innovation in European higher education institutions produced by CHEPS, the Centre for Higher Education Policy Studies at the University of Twente, MODERN project partner. The report will be made available to all registered participants prior to the conference.
The conference will start with a networking dinner on 12 May. On 13 May the conference will be split into morning plenary sessions with key senior level speakers, i.e. policy makers and decision-makers from the European Commission and academia, and afternoon workshops with practical examples, to illustrate how strategies for knowledge exchange can be translated into concrete activities in terms of education, research and infrastructure.
