Lifelong Learning and Wellbeing

LLinE Lifelong Learning in Europe 27-29 January 2010 in Tuusula, Finland. This conference welcomes papers on research, case studies and projects relevant to the theme. A selection of papers will be published in LLinE in 2010. Deadline for abstracts: October 15, 2009. Send your abstract to lline(at)kvs.fi. Registration opens in September.
Conference themes include: Mental and physical wellbeing and learning, Education and wellbeing, Wellbeing at work, Wellbeing across Europe, Conceptions of wellbeing and learning across generations.
Questions to be addressed: - What does wellbeing mean in the context of lifelong learning? - How do we define wellbeing in the 21st century?
- How is wellbeing defined at individual, social and societal level? - How can lifelong learning support and promote wellbeing in different settings?
- What kind of adult education supports wellbeing? - How does wellbeing influence learning? - How does learning influence wellbeing? - What does wellbeing mean for different groups of people? - How can cross-sectoral and multi-professional cooperation promote wellbeing? - What are the indicators for wellbeing across Europe? - How can workplaces promote wellbeing and lifelong learning?
Aims of the conference: - Sharing good practices, - Bringing together participants from different countries and different contexts, - Providing a forum for exchanging ideas and for mutual learning.
